Product details

"Breathe" is a small acrylic pen drawing inspired by our mental health struggles relates to our fear of dying. Fear of death can manifest in various ways and impact our well-being, leading to anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. In the midst of this, breathing can also serve as a powerful tool to alleviate stress and promote relaxation.

The painting "Breathe" is a poignant representation of these struggles, in the style of Michelle Baharier's other paintings "Static", "Zoom" from the Covid Diaries Series and "Run Rabit Run",  a drawing inspired by the Day of the Dead. It explores the complex relationship between our mental health and our fear of death.

"Breathe" will be exhibited at 'Here we go again', a group exhibition with the Bethlem Artists Collective

Duke of Sussex, 77 Friary Road, Peckham SE17 1QS

Private View: 5 October 2023
