Fred. Who is he?
He's anyone. He is anyone and everyone, who is sad. He's almost in treas but not quite... I spent two years painting him. He is from my imagination. He is part of me.
It took me a long time to get the emotion right. But I got there. To paint from imagination requires me to picture something in my mind's eye in great detail. Painting from the imagination requires great knowledge and the experience of drawing from life, which I do all the time. I do it on the train, at poetry events and in meetings. I constantly observe skin tone, emotion, faces. Fred is an accumulation of all of that.
Some people would say it's Surrealism - which is known as Art That Captures The Imagination.
Fred could be a person my psyche.
