Joys of Nature is a playful exploration of colour and movement, focusing on patterns of organic forms. Here, I focus on the spiral pattern of snail shells, which is an organic element formed through a meticulous process. But, as it often is with my paintings, there is hidden symbolism to this artwork too. ⁠

When you think of it, the spiral pattern found on snail shells is a remarkable sight to behold. It is constructed to carry the weight of the snail's home (a notion that is perhaps both a blessing and a curse) in perfect balance, a mesmerising design created by nature. ⁠

The spiral itself represents growth, progress, and journey, reflecting the snail's slow and steady movements as it navigates its surroundings. The snail shell's spiral pattern serves as a reminder that everything in life travels in a cyclical pattern of change and continuity, reminding us that for every ending, there is a new beginning.⁠
